I'm happy to share this environment created in collaboration with Forge Studios with talented colleagues as Michele Crescenzi, Davide Brunotti, Vincenzo Colangelo, Daniele Gasparini as lightning artist, under the direction of the concept artists: Annamaria D'arienzo and Gianluca Rolli. The team was driven by the amazing Leads/Technical artists: Fabio Nuzzo and Jeroen Jansen This environment has been approached with thorough concept development and an unified artistic vision. The result is a cohesive space where every element, from lighting and materials to the smallest details, works together to create atmosphere and narrative. This project gave me the chanche to test unesplored workflows: • RGB mask layer systems to combine tiling base materials and build rich detailed materials, reducing texture memory usage while achieving high visual fidelity • Advanced tileable materials with world space layered detail to break up tiling and make surfaces feel less repetitive, maintaining performance without sacrificing visual quality • Midpoly mesh workflow with face weighted normals and decals to add rich details while keeping polygon counts optimized for real-time rendering • Leveraging Houdini to author procedural elements, enabling faster iteration and consistent asset creation across the environment.
